March was (once again) a very busy month filled with lots of fun and baby friends! We had some crazy unseasonably warm weather and we took full advantage!! That also means we see more of our neighbors! Isabel and Charlie really seem to love Abby, and Abby loves them too (when she's in the mood, she's still pretty unpredictable at times..). I have a feeling this summer will be great, filled with all of the kiddos playing outside all the time! Also, Abby came with me while I watched Tristan and Liam on St. Patty's day and the three kiddos had fun. It's great that Abby is finally getting to an age where she can interact with the older kids and takes and interest in what they're doing.
We went to church and Abby took a nice snooze to prepare for our big adventure.

We were originally thinking of heading down to the St. Patty's day parade, but come that morning, neither Chris nor I were up for it. So we decided to take advantage of the nice weather and join Christa and crew for a nice hike in Letchworth. The forecast was calling for some rain in the middle of the afternoon but we decided to trek on and go anyhow! And we were so glad we did! It was beautiful. And Abby did great! (I mean how could you not when you're being carried around in a sack or backpack the whole time, but still it was a LONG hike and she was awake and just looking all around for probably 90% of the trek until she finally gave in an took a snooze.)
I carried Abby for most of the first half of the trek, until it started to rain! The sky got grey and the thunder started to rumble! Luckily Chris packed our rain jackets and we had a rain/sun shield for our hiking back pack for Abby. When we got there we parked one car at the start of the trail and one at the end and embarked on our 7.1 mile hike. So by that point there was no turning back. The boys kept thinking we were farther along then we were. We must've heard "Just one more mile" about 5 times!!
I definitely had it easiest at this point since Christa had a 35 pound child, Jon was carrying a 45 pound child, and Chris had Abby, who is somewhere around 20-25 pounds. But I tried to do what I could haha.
We finally made it! It was a little bit tough in the middle but we were so glad that we went! Such a fun day!
She got to wear some cute Spring clothes.
This weather makes baby girl sleepy!
We took a nice long walk to the bank and the park and the store and about halfway through, this happened. Such a sleepy girl, she just clonked right out!
We tagged along to a homeschool play date at Delaware park with Christa and gang. J and Syd are so sweet with her! Abby is so independent now. She just wandered all around the playground exploring and saying hi to all the kiddos and puppies that were there. She is becoming more independent and stubborn by the day, which is great, but it can be very frustrating at the same time. It's wonderful watching her grow and learn, but if you try to get her to stop doing something or to do something that she doesn't want to do, good luck!!
We also bought Abby some baby yogurt, and she loves it! It gets quite messy because she insists on feeding herself most of the time, which also makes it very entertaining.
We went over to Omer and Denise's house to see Eli (and them, of course). He's such a cutie! She was very interested in him, and Olive, their dog. He's already getting so big!!
Chris made Abby into a baby burrito. She's a trooper haha.
She's been interested in playing with her little puzzles. She pulled the Ergo box out of its cubby and used it as a chair as she pulled the puzzles and other toys out to play with them. She also likes going on walks with the puppies. They've been loving this weather too because it means a lot more walks for them. Every time I pull out the Ergo carrier Abby and the puppies get all excited because they know that it means we're going outside for a nice walk. I made them a promise that every day that the weather is nice and I don't have anything going on, I will take them for a walk. It's great for all of us!
We met my dad at Starbucks and Abby was being so silly. She was walking with this crazy swagger and we could not stop laughing. I don't know that the videos do it justice but it was too funny.
We went over to Tracey's for the hockey game and we were all wearing our Sabres gear so we had to take a picture. Unfortunately the Sabres lost, but we still had a great time. We fantasized over winning the mega millions (sigh) while the babies played.
Abby made her favorite funny face. She looks like a little duck and it cracks us all up. We're going to get a family shot of us all doing it soon. She is so silly!!!
She knows "How big are you?" now. She puts her hands right up in the air and keeps doing it to get you to say "So big!" She also loves clapping and seems to know when to do it. We've also been doing a Mommy and Me swim class at the Y with Tracey and Payton. The girls are doing great and seem to love the water! Getting them all ready for summer :) Which may be a long ways off since after that wonderful weather we had it went back to being cold and dreary. It even snowed Friday night! But hopefully the nice weather comes back so we can go back to playing outside!
