October was another busy, wonderful month! It started with a trip to the Great Pumpkin Farm out in Clarence with Auntie Aimee, Uncle Andrew, Norah, Auntie E, Grandma, and Norah's Grandma! It was a lot of fun! Abby had fun playing on the play areas they had and even went down the BIG slide.
She even picked out her own pumpkin! Such a big girl!
Boy does Abby have a love for high heels. She found one of my few pairs that I own and was having a ball clomping around in them.
Any time we go to church, Abby lasts about 5 minutes in the pews before we end up going up to the quiet room. This girl just does not like to sit still! But this is how she spends most Sunday afternoons. So silly, and always entertaining. Maybe someday soon she will at least consistently make it through Children's moment!
We went apple picking on Columbus day with Grandma and Aunt Barb and TJ and Joey. This was Abby's first apple picking experience and she loved it. She was a great helper and had a lot of fun picking her own apples from the low branches and putting them in the bags.
We had a lot of pretty nice days out so we took a lot of walks to the park to play. We even met JJ and Syd there!
After the park we went over to their house to play some more. Abby found a little hair bow and actually let me give her a little sprout! I can't wait until she finally gets some more hair and I can put it up like this all the time!
We took a Sunday morning walk to the park and it was so nice out that Abby didn't even need a jacket! She showed Daddy all of her new tricks! He was quite impressed!
Abigail made a new friend at the park this month, too! Her name is Ava. She turned two in June and she lives around the corner for us. We tried to meet her at the park whenever it was nice out. So nice to have another friend to play with!
JJ and Syd came to play one night too while their Mommy had a commitment at her church. They all had so much fun they didn't want to leave haha.
Payton came a few days later, too, while her parents went to a wedding. Our house has become baby central and Abby and I love it. They play so well together and giggle all the time. So cute. Here they were taking turns fake laughing at Abby's animal book. What a bunch of goofs!
Speaking of books, Abigail has FINALLY showed enough of an interest in books where we can get through an entire (short) book! Haha she's always been interested in the idea of books but would always flip from page to page before you got a chance to actually read anything. It's so much fun reading to her and watching her react and respond to the words and pictures. She really loves her animal books and is having fun learning all of the different animals and the sounds they make.
We asked Abby if she wanted to go see her Papa, and we got the tail end of her excitement on tape. She sure loves her Papa's!
We tried putting another hair clip in her hair, and although it looks cute she still just doesn't have quite enough hair for it to make sense! Soon enough (hopefully)!
And here she is with our (mostly) saint of a dog, Dexter, giving him "hugs." She gives Murf and Dex hugs and kisses constantly, and when we're out and going home she always says "Puppies?" She sure loves her puppies.
Abby got all decked out in her Halloween outfit a bit early. She decided Daddy's hat would be a good addition to it and put it on all by herself. Silly girl.
Oh this is how she brushes her teeth, by the way, which she loves doing. She climbs up on our garbage can which has a flat lid and pulls herself up, grabs her toothbrush, turns the water on, and she's off and running!
We went to the zoo with Ava and Dana! We hadn't been since August and it was incredible what a difference those few months made. Abby was so observant and interested in all of the animals. She got to see all of the animals that shes used to seeing in her books live and in person and she loved it!
We even got a good look at the lion up close and personal! He was perched right outside of the window!
She got to ride out to the street with Far Far's leaves. So silly.
The Sunday before Halloween Abby got dressed up in her Halloween outfit for church. Once again we spent most of the service up in the quiet room, where she played and climbed and rocked herself on the rocker.
Then we were off to Abby's first BPO Concert! They do a kids costume concert every year, and this year she was finally old enough to go! It was a short concert without intermission with a lot of great kid-themed music. She LOVED it! She clapped in between every piece.
She also got to go up on stage (as all of the kids that come get to do) as part of the costume march!

After all of that, she was quite worn out! Haha.
She got good use of her costume this year and wore it pretty much every day that week! Here she is in costume listening to a story from Pa Pa.
Then we went to visit Far Far and Grandma so they could see our little monkey.
While we were there she had fun pretending to be a cowgirl with Far Far.
We carved our pumpkins! Mine is the owl, Chris did the dead bear, and Abby's is in the middle. Chris gave her a marker and let her draw all over it and then interpreted her drawing haha.

It was finally Halloween night! Payton, Auntie Tracey, and Uncle Adam came over so we could take the girls out for their first trick or treating experience together.
Abby LOVED trick or treating! She really understood the whole trick or treating thing and was an instant pro at it. It was a bit cold out, though, so her mittens made it a bit difficult for her to grab the candy (although she stuck her little paws right in the bowls and tried her best). She would go right from door to door, try to push the doorbell, yell her version of "trick or treat" go for the candy, say "thank you," then turn right around and head towards the next house! We all had a blast!
We only went out for maybe 10 minutes tops, but it was plenty for the girls!

October was a great month! Crazy that Abby is 20 months already, which is the fast track to two! We've really loved all of the walks and outdoor activities we can now enjoy so much more now that she is such a climber and a mover, so the winter will certainly be interesting. We will have to be creative and try to find other fun ways of keeping busy!
