June 2013: Hello Summer!

June was a fun filled month that started with a bang! We went to an event called Kids Run down in Delaware Park. There was a mini dash for 2-5 year olds and Abby got to "run" in her first "race"! Haha if you watch the video you will understand the quotes. It was a bit disorganized but it was a lot of fun!
The following day we went to Chris' cousins wedding shower down by Darien Lake (about 35 minutes away). We drove down with Aimee and Norah, and on the way home both girls just crashed! Sleepy cousins! On the way there, Norah was not a happy camper, she does not like the car very much, so Abby was trying to help calm her by singing to her. It was very sweet! She sure loves her cousin!
More playtime with her buddies next door. Every day Abby wakes up saying I want to play with Charlie! And Everett! And Isabel! So wonderful having friends living next door!
Here is our make-shift nursery for the baby-to-be! We put the crib in our room (still need to transition it back to a crib from a toddler bed) and put the decals up to make it feel more babyish. Then the changing table is right next to it. It will be tight, but it will work!
We took a trip to Cleveland to celebrate Jamie's 30th birthday!! Our first stop was to say hello to Great Grandma and Grandpa. Abby snuggled right in with Great Grandma and had a fun time exploring their apartment. She loved riding in and pushing the buttons in the elevator to get to their place.
Jess and Matt came in for the occasion, as well, all the way from California! Always so wonderful to see them. Abby loves Jess and had fun playing with her and taking all sorts of pictures with her on her phone.
 So artistic haha
She had such a busy day that she slept right through dinner!!

The next day we got to go to a parade! Abby's first one, I believe! The weather was perfect for it and we got there just as it started! There were so many great costumes and musicians there, it was a lot of fun to watch!

Chris finally made it later that night and we all got to go to dinner at one of our favorite Cleveland restaurants, Jimmy Dadonna's. Abby had a lot of fun (too much fun, in fact) playing with her straw wrappers. She was making straw wrapper moustaches, and at one point shot the paper from her straw (as she always does as a funny game with Daddy and Papa) and it went right over onto the table next to us! We got very lucky, though, and they were very nice and actually quite funny about the whole thing. I guess we need to be a bit more careful helping her aim...
For our final day in Cleveland we had a great birthday cookout at Mike and Jodi's house! Again, the weather was perfect for the event, and it was just so nice to spend time hanging out with everyone!
Abby seemed to have a great time, as well!

Eventually it was time to say our good bye's and get ready to go. She gave Great Grandpa a BIG hug goodbye. Until next time...
Loving on the baby :)
 Such a cheese ball.
She loves posing and being silly these days and will even tell you to take her picture.
 Such a little diva!
We went over to Payton's house to play and she put her backpack on as we were getting ready to go for a walk. She was so proud of herself. She loves wearing it all around, makes her feel like a big girl!
She got to go play with Charlie and Everett during Isabel's kindergarten graduation. Abby and Charlie got all chummy in the rocking chair.
Then they all started playing a fun game of peek-a-boo with the blanket.

JJ and Sydney had a lemonade and book stand to raise money for their church and Abby got to come help out! They did a great job and raised almost $80 for their cause! Abby was most interested in walking back and forth to Auntie Christa's house and pouring herself lemonade, but the kids did a wonderful job!
Abby got to ride her very own motorcycle at the park with Anshu, the girl I babysit. She was so proud of herself and still talks about going to ride the motorcycle and elephant.
They also had a blast on the tire swing. Kept telling me to go higher and faster, a bunch of dare devils!
Another 4 weeks past and we got to take another Abby belly shot! Love her!
It started to get hot out, too! We went to the wading pool with Payton! They had a great time splashing and throwing toys and essentially playing fetch with themselves. So excited for many more days like this!
Chris rode in the Ride for Roswell! 33 long miles! We met him at the finish line so that we could cheer him on! He did great! We made signs and everything, she was very proud of her Daddy!
After the race we went to get coffee with Papa, and all Abby wanted to do was sit on the steps with him.
 She sure loves her Papa!
After that, Abby was done for the day, she fell asleep on the way to Aunt Aimee's sister's graduation party and took a nap in Norah's carseat. She looks so big in those little seats!
We took a trip to the outlet mall to see about getting a few things before our annual trip to Wolfe Lake, and Abby got nice and cozy with the cat in the hat. We even stopped at Great Grandma and Grandpas house to go swimming on the way home! It was a great day.
We were in Wolfe Lake for the very end of June (which will be in it's own post) but leading up to then it was another fantastic month. I feel like a broken record with some of these posts, but truly we are just having so much fun watching Abigail grow and mature that each month is just truly wonderful! It has been great watching her interest in the baby that is on the way continue to grow, too. We love how involved she seems and how she gives the baby kisses and talks to it and even will tell you about how when the baby comes out she will get to hold it. Such a great adventure we are on and we can't wait to see where it goes from here!
