Our baby girl had a big birthday!! Can't believe she's 1! Here are a few of the wonderful pictures we got of her big day, courtesy of my brother! He came over and took some wonderful pictures with his professional grade camera, and they turned out great. We got her the cutest cake from a little local bakery in Tonawanda and it was not only adorable, but delicious (as Abby can attest to, as well haha). She got all dressed up for the occasion and did great with some posed pictures that I wanted to try to get.
Abby wasn't quite sure what to make of the cake at first, and was actually quite dainty when she started eating, going in for tiny bits and pieces. But that quickly changed with each ensuing bite of her first experience with sugar!
She kept trying to "share" with us. Sweet baby girl.
She was a very happy little girl.
Eventually we cut a piece out and gave it to her so she could eat some of the actual cake and not just the frosting. I think she got just as much on her as she got in her mouth! Success!!
She went right over to daddy when she was all done and gave him a big, messy hug. Then it was straight to the bath to get all cleaned up!
It was a wonderful day, as much fun, if not more, than we anticipated. We had several wonderful parties for her (thanks to all who came!!) and baby girl got lots of fun new toys/outfits/etc. It was a fun but exhausting weekend, but you only turn 1 once! Boy did that year fly by and we can't wait to see what the next year (and beyond) brings!
