April 2011: Smiles

 Abby started to smile at the very beginning of this month! Even though she did make you work for it, it was always well worth it!

She also hung out with the puppies more this month. Abby and Dexo have a love affair going on.

 

We went to visit JJ and Sydney. Abby makes them look so big!

 We went on lots of walks this month and Abby slept, and slept, and slept.

She loved giving Daddy a hard time. His go to move was bouncing her on the yoga ball. Worked every time.

We even sent some smiles to France so Uncle Dan could see what his niece was up to!

Here is Abby sleeping in Mommy and Daddy's bed after a nap with mommy. So tiny in such a big bed.

 Abby got all dressed up in her Sabres gear with Daddy to watch the last few games of the season and the playoffs. (Unfortunately they didn't make it past the first round.. There's always next year..)

 We also took Abby on her first and second road trips this month! First we went to Vermont with the whole Johnson crew! We caravaned down with Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Erin, and Uncle Joe. Then Auntie Aimee and Uncle Andrew met us there. They all went skiing but Abby and I hung back in the chalet.

 The next weekend we took a short trip down to Cleveland so that the whole Ross clan could meet Abby. Cousin Jessica was also in town for the weekend from California so she also got to meet Abbs as well. They all were so excited to meet her! Then we shuffled back to Buffalo for Abby's first Easter.

I had my first night out without Abby this month. I went to see Wicked with Auntie Tracey down at Sheas. It was a lot of fun, and a great show, but I couldn't wait to come home to my baby girl. Chris took many walks around the block that night haha. I think that Chris and Abby couldn't wait for me to come home either, even though he did great for his first time being home alone for hours with her.
We also celebrated Sydney's birthday this month! She turned 2 on May first (but her celebration was a few days early since they were going to be in Disney on her actual birthday). She was so excited that Abby was going to be there that she didn't seem to care about her presents or cake or other guests or anything (even though Abby pretty much spent the whole time sleeping or nursing haha). Can't wait for when Abby is old enough to be as excited to see her!
