September 2011: Winding down

September was bittersweet since it meant the end of summer and back to work for me! But before we got totally back in the swing of things we drove down to Cleveland for Jamie and Tessa's housewarming party. Abby tried to steal Chris' wallet while we were down there. After Daddy's money already, we're going to have our hands full!
Abby had a stand off with Louie while we were down there. I think she was confused since she's so used to the puppies. It was pretty funny, neither of them knew quite what to make of the other!
She was also a party animal, up late partying and playing with her toys. She just doesn't want to miss a beat!
Auntie Tracey and Pay came to visit and she was wearing an outfit that looked very familiar to me. Turns out Abbs had the same one! (She had one in newborn size too, but that one was too small) So we put her in it and took a few pictures. At first Abby was just interested in trying to eat Payton's head, but then they kind of got the hang of it. It's still pretty tough to get a good picture where both of them are looking at the camera, but we will keep trying!
I had lunch with cousin Amanda, and as you can see, she is in the process of making Abby another friend! She also is not finding out what she's having so we will have to wait and see if Abby has a little boy or girl friend to play with! Very excited for her and Kevin.
We made sure to have a few last swims at Great Grandma and Grandpa Ford's house. She just loves the water. Hopefully she will remember how much she loves it for next summer. Great Grandpa and Abby both seem quite taken by one another. Very cute.
We went over to Uncle Omer and Auntie Denise's house for a Bills game (one they actually won!). They are also making Abby a friend! Soon there will be babies everywhere! So exciting! Can't wait to meet him (they found out they're having a boy!)!
Abby's new thing this month is the funniest scrunch face smile. She does it all the time now and makes funny noises with her nose when she does it. It's hard to capture with a still photo but we had to try.
She also loves making a Kazoo noise with Daddy. It's her party trick. It was a big hit with JJ too!
Abby, the puppies and I went on a hike to the eternal flame in Chestnut Ridge with Grandma Ford while Chris was at the Bills game. I had to keep checking the score on my phone (when I got coverage, that is) since we were playing the Patriots and hadn't beaten them in the past 15 times they faced each other. The Bills won! And we had a great hike, so we were all happy!
We discovered that Abby LOVES to swing this month. She had so much fun at the park.
At the end of the month, the Cones sent me home from babysitting the one night with 5 avocados from a relatives avocado tree. While we were making guac we decided to set some avocado aside to give to Abby since it is such a super food and is a great first food to try with babies. Needless to say she wasn't a big fan. Haha oh well, we tried!
A bit slower month than the previous few, but still fun nonetheless!
