While my recovery felt long, Abby adjusted just fine to
life on the outside! With the exception of her not wanting to be put
down EVER, things went quite smoothly. She was an eating, sleeping,
pooping machine.The pups adjusted wonderfully too. Murf took on the role of protector pup, while Dexter made sure she was loved and kissed constantly haha.
We tried bundling her up for a walk in a "0-6 month" sack we bought earlier, but as you can see, it was a bit too big!
She had her first bath at home, which she did not like one bit. She was much better after she was out and all wrapped up.
She got the hiccups. A lot. She had them a fair amount while she was inside of my tummy, too. But it makes sense since I get them all the time as well.
She also made many trips to
visit her Grandmas and Grandpas. Right from the start she was
entertaining us with her silly faces. Deep in thought wondering what
life is all about. She also refused a pacifier, so when she needed
comfort the only two things that helped her were nursing or giving her a finger to
suck on.
So tiny! Crazy how small they are when they come out.
Quality Dexter-Abby time. He's always there to make sure everything's okay.
Naps with Daddy. Lots of sleeping, since besides eating at this stage, really not much else goes on.
We also made a sign for Grandpa for his knee surgery! (Everything went great with it and he had a smooth recovery.)
Abby was so strong and expressive right from the start. So much fun watching her grow and change!
